Jason Mones uses a method of synthetic painting derived from the imagination to create narratives associated with American masculinity. He holds a B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design, an M.F.A. from Yale, and was selected as a resident for both the Fine Arts Work Center in 2008 and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art in 2012. His work was recently included in the Bronx Museum’s 2013 Biennial and has also been included in various exhibitions in and around New York City, as well as galleries including South Korea and Berlin.
